Features of the Bondek Structure
Compared to other types of formwork for concrete slabs, structural Bondek is much more versatile, sturdy and efficient. The Bondek structure is made of zinc-coated steel sheeting with various thicknesses that range from 0.6mm to 1mm. It has a standard width of 600mm and is available in lengths of either 3 metres or 6 metres. The height of the structure is 55mm.
When creating a Bondek steel structure floor plan for a steel-framed building, a sheet can go up to 3.6 metres unpropped. The interlocking design of the steel decking also makes installation much faster.
