The brand was born in 1922 while trying to solve a labour capacity issue at a saw mill, DeWalt was first known for their version of an electric drop saw that increased productivity and output four times over.

The first ever radial arm machine provided versatility in woodworking and building operations. Having gained decades of knowledge since then, DeWalt has added bench grinders, metal cutting machines, and most recently in the 90s they started a line of portable electric power tools and accessories.
